AGENT J.L. PORTER — CASE FILE ADMINISTRATOR
BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO & FOLKLORE (BATFF)
    BADGE: BATFF-002

    ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE

This archive contains official case documentation related to Subject BF-01 ("Beerfoot"), compiled from Agent T.W. Dunlap's field records (1977–2008) and supplemented by my own investigative work since 2019.

For those unfamiliar: Agent Dunlap was the Bureau's primary—and only—investigator assigned to the Beerfoot case until his abrupt departure in 2008. The position sat vacant for eleven years until the FBI released those damn Bigfoot papers and suddenly everyone with a missing wallet and a fuzzy memory had a cryptid story to share. The Bureau, in its infinite wisdom, decided someone should sit in this basement office and sort through the fairy tales.

    That someone is me.

My job is to organize Dunlap's chaotic filing system (and I use the term "system" generously), digitize his reports, and document any new incidents that meet investigative standards—or at least sound interesting enough to record. Posts in this archive include transcriptions of Dunlap's original case files as well as my own field observations.

My superiors aren't going to read this anyway, so consider this your front-row seat to the strangest assignment in federal employment.
